Horas is built and run by Houssam, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with a decade in fraud prevention at regulated UAE banks — the person reading the same scam SMS, fake fines, and impersonation calls this site checks, but from the other side of the counter.
The pattern behind most UAE fraud losses isn't sophistication — it's timing. People decide whether to tap a link in the first thirty seconds, alone, usually on a phone. Horas exists so that in those thirty seconds you can get a straight answer from something that knows the UAE landscape: which sender prefixes real banks use, what Emirates Post and Salik actually send, and what a customs-fee scam looks like.

Honest about uncertainty
Horas is an AI risk assessment, not a guarantee. When it can't tell, it says so and asks — it never invents a verdict. Serious cases always belong with your bank and the police, and Horas will point you there.
The name? The Eye of Horus was an ancient symbol of protection and watchfulness. Also, “Horas” is what you get when a fraud examiner is asked to name something at midnight.
